I am always proud to share the well-deserving stories in our road to promotion stories. Today’s story is about Kristen Rowles, who started as a collector and is now a Manager of Training. Kristen has been with CBE for 11 years. Kristen’s passion and drive is why she is where she is today.
We interviewed Kristen and this is what she had to say:
Why do you stay at CBE?
CBE has been an amazing part of my life for the last 11 years and will continue to be. I have grown tremendously as a person, in my career and with my family – and I really credit a lot of this to CBE. I also enjoy the fact that you have your “CBE Family.” You really do form wonderful relationships with the people that you work with!
Why did you join CBE?
I joined CBE because I needed a job! I was a loan officer in the mortgage industry and the recession was just starting to come into play. I knew that I needed stability and had always heard that CBE was a great company to work for and they treated their employees well.
What have you learned while working at CBE?
I have learned so much since walking in the door in 2006. First, I learned that the word “collections” is not a naughty word as so many people refer to it. Everyone that I have worked with has this passion to treat their consumer’s with respect! I’ve also learned that you can still come into a company and work your way into management. It wasn’t without hard work, long hours, commitment, communication, dedication and being open to change, though. I have always said to my new hires that whatever you put into CBE, CBE will give back to you.
Where do you see the company going over the next five years? What is your role in getting there?
The next five years are going to be exciting! With the major government contracts coming our way and exponential growth through multiple business platforms in several different regions of the country, there will be amazing opportunities. It is going to be exciting to see how we grow as a business and get to be the leader in the collections industry. We already have a good foundation and a well-respected name, but with the approaching opportunities, it is only going to get better.
As far as where I see myself in this? Getting to meet the majority of the new hires and having the opportunity to explain what CBE is as a company and as a family.
